“Bienvenue En Colombie-Britannique” is the sole French-language entity that enables Francophone visitors to explore British Columbia in their native language, covering attractions, businesses, and history. This non-profit organization operates a website featuring a directory of all tourism businesses in BC that offer services in French. Additionally, travelers can obtain bilingual tourism guides in both French and English from various locations, including airports and BC Ferries.
Tourism stands as the leading industry in BC, making it a highly competitive arena with numerous players, especially given that French-speaking businesses represent a minority in the province. This situation carves out a niche market. The mission demanded a thorough strategy to spotlight the province’s varied attractions and unique offerings, underscoring authentic experiences, all while adhering to a set timeframe and budget constraints.
